As an avid acoustic and electric guitar player for more than 30 years, I understand how guitar setup and maintenance can make the playing experience terrible or great. I’ve spent years adjusting and tweaking my guitars and those of my friends and there is nothing as fun as seeing the expression on their faces when their instrument plays well and allows them to express themselves musically.

I opened The Village Luthier in Langley, Washington in August 2024 and have enjoyed working on hundreds of instruments from Whidbey Island and beyond since then. I’m excited to offer custom-built acoustic guitars starting in September 2026.

My formal education includes studying guitar repair with Charles Fox and Kerry Char at the American School of Lutherie, and acoustic guitar building with Sergei de Jonge.
